Circle Time: Music, Movement and Fingerplays

As our society is moving towards use of computers, screen and technology even for our very young learners, it has become pertinent to revisit importance of circle time in early learning environment. Circle time is a means to build social interaction and kinesthetic learning, importance of these elements was visible during pandemic when even our young learners were forced to be on screen and deprived of in person interaction.

We will learn different elements of an effective circle time. We will focus on how circle time can be designed and what are some of the benefits of circle time for young learners. How long should circle time last and what should be the targeted age group. Once we have gained basic clarity about circle time we will dive deeper into learning different songs, movement and fingerplays that can be incorporated in circle time.

Audience at different stages of their learning experience will have something to take from this workshop.
