Without the right tools and support, teaching can lead to stress and burnout. During this 3-hour session, participants will learn how to leverage research-based practices to sustain and support their well-being. Participants will explore the characteristics of 4 different types of stress, including general stress, systematic oppression, burnout, and compassion fatigue. Participants will identify the 5 steps of The Stress Cycle and a discover collection of evidence-based strategies for completing the body’s stress cycle. Through engaging exercises and rich discussions, participants will learn about the power of self-care and mindfulness practices and will develop individualized plans to combat burnout.
